Et, chez vous?

This blogger has really got me thinking today. I’ve been following her for quite a while now because she lives in a gorgeous part of the U.S and has similar interests and has an innately creative eye. She typically posts awesome photos of birds and her huskies and mountain views and has been growing in her homestead lifestyle a bit more all this time.

Except this last year she went on an extended road-trip across the country with her hubby who has a unique job.

The part about the trip that interests me is not so much about his job, but about her observations. And this is not a post to put her on the spot to tell more of her stories, though that would be great I think!

Actually I’m just wondering if anyone else would care to share?

She feels more committed now than ever to extend her homesteading efforts. She saw a lot of drugged-out loonies and homelessness, across the country.

Like I mentioned to her in the comments, we don’t get out much anymore. We don’t trust the media much. We aren’t on the major social platforms—which means we don’t get nearly the propaganda, or on the flip side, the true accounts of the mass of folks.

So, I would honestly like to know. How’s it like in your corner of the states or the world?

I wish to express to her by sharing this how valuable her observations and insights really are, because these are tough conversations to have, and too easily avoided, and it seems high time to start talkin more about it. ALL!

Thanks for reading, and sharing, it’s a beautiful thing we can still do here!

  1. Complicated situation and it’s apparently only gotten worse since I fled California in 2019. At that point, the homeless population was LARGE, but mostly Americans from what I saw. Per the non-government homeless advocate that worked with them in Sacramento, at the time 1/3 were temporarily homeless from bad breaks, depleted savings, etc… and would be back on their feet in around 6 months. The second 1/3 were drug addicts and the mentally ill, the last 1/3 were the permanently homeless who simply had no use for society’s rules. They felt society owed them, mind you. Camp where ever they want, panhandle as aggressively as they want, etc…

While I’d say the lion’s share of this mess does indeed fall on the Dems, Chelle is closer to the truth in saying it’s the Globalists / NWO types on both sides. Dems want voters, but big business run by both parties’ supporters want cheap labor. Pubs only made a token effort at supporting the border wall, and most of that was actually Fox news, using Hannity and Carlson, who would be guaranteed to get a knee-jerk negative reaction from many.

We hear how bad the economy is, and we’re constantly dealing with both shortages (usually minor), reduced quality (even on food) and much higher prices, yet the stock market keep showing record returns and payouts for top executives. Yet they don’t want to pay decent wages for the average worker and claim regulation is bankrupting them.

That’s not an “evil Pubs” thing either. PG&E in California is a great example. They’ve blown up San Bruno, repeatedly burned down half the state, killed numerous people, etc… and they get away with it Scot free. The governor blames climate change” or federal oversight of forest land (which is actually only in the high Sierra and Mojave desert) and the state legislature goes along with it, all in exchange for bribes… err campaign contributions. PG&E won’t fix their infrastructure, has rolling brown outs instead, AND keeps making record payouts to it’s board.

The corruption is systemic and not limited to one party.

    1. Thanks for sharing your perspectives! I completely agree about the systemic corruption, and if they can keep getting folks to throw their precious energy into the staged theater of elections I fear we’ll never get anywhere beyond it. By making everything political they’ve created an environment where no one can talk about anything anymore in polite company, not even the weather! 😖

  2. Ah for a moment I was like, who is this blogger I like the sound of this! Yes, it’s true, my perspective is probably really unique and valuable and I agree we need to speak honestly about what we’re seeing. It’s truly frightening to see our country in such a state from one end to the other! I’m not exaggerating, I took loads of photos. It’s just hard to look at them. I could write about California for hours alone, having grown up there and seeing it become this thing I don’t even recognize. Or about how here in Bozeman the homeless have taken up entire blocks and now even the “safe” states aren’t safe anymore. ALL THANKS TO IDIOTIC LIBERAL POLICIES MEANT TO DESTROY US.

    1. I should say it’s not just liberals, or leftists, it’s the NWO and they aren’t even hiding it. Neo feudalism. They miss the good old days of them living in castles and us begging for scraps and it is happening RIGHT in front of our eyes!

    2. 😆Yup, that’s you, blogger, LOL!
Well I for one hope you write about it more, as tough as it is. I still have family in California and I think they are still in denial.

Are the homeless, and the ‘fen Zombies’ mostly Americans, or were you seeing any impact from the border crisis as well?

      1. A HUGE influx of migrants are homeless and it’s heartbreaking. You can tell they are separated by language barriers, too. A lot of the ones in the truck stop parking lots look to be from Biden’s new voter pool. It does NOT feel safe out there right now. The rest stops have so many trying to live in the stalls, they are routinely run out. Whole families living in cars in the parking lots EVERYWHERE. People better wake up.

      2. Oh! And this was weird. Everywhere I kept seeing these posters for human trafficking, telling them who to call if they need help but every poster is only in english. Not in the languages of the victims at all, just for US to THINK they CARE.
