And the public thirst for lies proves unquenchable! Get them young and dumb, throw in some fake outrage at adolescence, keep them pumping on the hamster wheel of earning and spending for decades, distract them continuously with sports and entertainment and political theatre, then a couple bankruptcy-worthy illnesses and/or weather catastrophes, and voilà, fail-proof road to world domination.
Wouldn’t you know it, my alma-mater is a driving force in the technocratic delusion. That’s just embarrassing.
Is there any remedy at this late stage of sociopolitical cancer? I can’t say, but it seems if so, individual empowerment and action is where we’ve got lots of room for improvement.
