Because the world is an increasingly ugly and hostile place, our personal space must become increasingly beautiful and hospitable.

The marriage of opposites, which according to the AI YT Hermetic Tradition (wtaf?), is not in fact a comprimise as modern interpretation dictates, but more of a craft in augmenting tension tolerance.
I spent from May to October appreciating our poop-with-a-view and now I appreciate Hubby’s fabulous handiwork. I have several posts in the works, including a full before and after spread. This is just the teaser, or more honestly, I don’t feel like it yet post.

The end of the world as we know it? And I feel fine? Must be that crazy marriage thing.
Hope y’all are feelin’ fine too!
😘

I am married to my opposite for sure. We balance each other out well. I also agree that we have to bring beauty into our personal space and find it in the world around us. I told my husband recently that I’m going to begin painting in our new house and making it our own. Right now the whole house is painted sad beige white. I was raised in a sterile white house. Blah

Color is so important in creating the right ambiance! I’m sure your girls would love to choose the colors for their rooms. I’ve found that colorful flowers in the lamdscaping really helps my mood and motivation, which I’d never have thought before I started focusing on esthetic gardening rather than just for food.

That’s why one of the first things I did here was put in flowers. It’s a great home we have for this phase of life but it was very sterile and cookie cutter. The girls already have ideas for their bedrooms. I’m doing my master with a deep forest green accent wall and using earth colors and plants to make it homey.
