Addictions & Distractions: Part 4

Recovery: Solutions (Final)

Because I’m fascinated with all things ‘culture’ I could not skip the rabbit hole of addiction in modern American life.  I’ve done a good bit of exploration in the last few months and I’m pleased to say, I’ve had enough already.

And, I’ve managed to come to a few conclusions.

  1. If a 12-Step Program has worked for you in getting sober and/or clean, congratulations, you are the exception to the vast majority.
  2. The 12-Step Programs have flooded and over-run the recovery market despite any scientific validity to their claims or efficacy in their numbers and despite clear conflicts of interest in public/private partnerships. It is a huge money-making industry globally.
  3. If a 12-Step Program program has not worked for you, you are in the vast majority, and there are other options, if you know where to look.

I’ve heard or read many accounts that Alcoholics Anonymous is a cult. I’d call it a ‘soft cult’.

There is no doubt it is brainwashing and many in these programs who dare to do the due-diligence of intellectual inquiry readily admit this fact.

I have a great deal of respect for awareness and honesty, so I am not in any way arguing that those in the throws of active addiction might not need a good dose of brainwashing. More power to y’all, paint those mantras all over your walls, because it’s awesome you’re still alive and we want to keep it that way as long as possible!  (On that note, thank you to Rick, who shared stories and information and found success in a 12-Step Program, as well as being the one who was the impetus for me in this exploration of addiction.)

But, I really wish now to speak to those very many who may need or want help and have not been successful with the current acceptable brainwashing techniques or soft cults.

Unlike what AA, NA and others are telling you, you did not ‘fail‘. It’s not that you ‘didn’t want it bad enough‘ or that you ‘haven’t reached rock bottom yet’ or that you ‘didn’t work The Steps‘ or that you ‘just don’t get it‘.  If you continue to go back into 12-Step recovery programs again and again, which is most often the case, thinking this time you’ll ‘succeed‘, consider this:  To keep doing the same thing over and over again but expect different results is the hallmark of insanity.

If you’ve heard this nonsense about yourself, and believed it, you’re still buying into the biggest lie in 12-Step brainwashing propaganda. Stop that now!

It didn’t work for you, that’s all. Not at all unusual. Now, don’t stop there, and find something else that will work, please.

Here’s some others who also say it didn’t work for them either, and who found other ways to deal with their addictions.

The Business of Recovery

How has it come to this?  I think James Corbett has a big part of that answer right here:

https://youtu.be/LfHEuWaPh9Q

The Corbett Report: The Crisis of Science

We’re trusting the wrong people!  We’re losing our skills of discernment!  We’re losing our skills, all of them, along with our common sense!

Some might be inclined to wonder why a homesteading blog has anything to do with culture. What do addictions & distractions, conspiracies or occult knowledge, or geopolitics, or geoengineering, or junk science, or spirituality have to do with growing food, raising livestock, or just in general reclaiming our wise traditions?

Addictions and distractions are what’s rotting our culture from the inside-out. Our institutions are not solving these crises, they are exacerbating them. Quite possibly on purpose.

Yet folks continue to support them, continue to throw money at them.  Why?

kakistocracy

I think our ancestors were smarter than that, or we wouldn’t be here right now as witnesses to the masses skipping to the guillotine!

Maybe it’s time we started listening more to some good old-fashioned common sense rather than to white coats paid by blue bloods to serve black ties?  (Several puns intended; let me count the ways!)

We’ve had a good run at addictions this time around, distractions are another rabbit hole for another time.

Thanks for joining me on this latest little wondering and wandering. Brighter posts to come, surely! 🙂

Fake Clouds = Fake Weather

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about my favorite topic, which is, the weather.  Supposedly Mark Twain once famously said: “Everyone complains about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it.”

If he did really say that, he was lying, or joking.  Even before his day this statement would have been completely false, and he most certainly would have known this.  After all, he was a newsman, and it was hot news (pun intended) and Twain was nothing if not au courant.

Weather modification began in earnest before aviation was invented and back then was publicized regularly in the newspapers.  To control the weather was a dream of every farmer, military strategist, and tyrant: He who controls the weather controls the world!

lyndon-johnson-control-space-world-weather-modification-geoengineering-1962

“James Pollard Espy (or “The Storm King”) (May 9 1785 – January 24 1860) was a U.S. meteorologist who proposed burning forests on the west coast of the United States of America to increase rainfall on the east coast. Espy developed a convection theory of storms, explaining it in 1836 before the American Philosophical Society and in 1840 before the French Académie des Sciences and the British Royal Society. His theory was published in 1840 as The Philosophy of Storms.”  https://weathermodificationhistory.com/1836-james-pollard-espy-the-storm-king/

“In the late 1960s a group of American barley growers in Colorado decided to enlist the services of professional weather consultants to assist with the control of the weather for the production of an optimum premium-grade Moravian barley grown under contract for a brewery. The required weather modification included supplementation of rainfall during the early part of the growing season, suppression of hail in mid-summer and suppression of rain during the final stages of ripening. ”

And, because a few folks wanted premium beer, the lettuce and potato farmers were screwed and so they appealed to the governor.

https://archive.org/details/WeatherModification_201802/page/n1

In the century and a half since experimentations began, they’ve come a very, very long way, and, they no longer advertise their failures, or really anything at all, to the general public.  To where or to whom would you make an appeal when the officials pretend it’s not happening?

https://weathermodificationhistory.com/usda-sprays-electrified-water-over-texas/

The main job of the mainstream press is to normalize these man-made creations and atmospheric and environmental experimentations and manipulations, so that these sciences can continue unabated to ruin our natural world.

It’s thanks to I-phones we’ve suddenly ‘discovered’ all these new clouds? Seriously!

https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2017/03/eleven-new-clouds-atlas/

They tell us it’s ‘climate change’ and “global warming’ and insist we must lower our carbon footprints, use less water, less energy, eat less meat, and on and on, and it’s all complete NONSENSE!

Feeding the hungry bees, who are certainly very confused with the weather whiplash.

The institutions are all trying to convince the aware public that geoengineering is now necessary to ‘save the planet’.  This is classic ‘problem-reaction-solution’ strategy.  Create the problem, get folks in a state of fear and concern, then provide the ‘solution’ which is not a solution at all, but a system guaranteed to create a whole heap of new problems for the ‘experts’ to solve.

Arecibo’s Ionospheric Heater is Boiling the Tropical Sky November 3-9, 2018

Getting educated and spreading awareness is our only chance right now, and LOADS of folks are doing this all over the web.  The ‘officials’ and ‘experts’ won’t be able to lie to the public much longer.

Unless of course, so many others continue to do nothing at all and continue to let their governments treat us all like lab rats and our earthly home as a toxic waste dump.

Celebrating Weakness/Vilifying Violence (part 1)

I’ll be spending the next few posts pondering, thanks for any patient readers who care to join me.

Most folks believe Gandhi was a pacifist as that is another fish in the sea of lies routinely sold to the public. https://lynfuchs.blogspot.com/2015/06/mahatma-gandhi-was-not-pacifist.html

According to a definition on Wiki, I might be a pacifist, considering my lifelong anti-war views: “A pacifist rejects war and believes there are no moral grounds which can justify resorting to war. War, for the pacifist, is always wrong.” In a sense the philosophy is based on the idea that the ends do not justify the means.[6]

I’d agree in general, war is always wrong, and furthermore, it’s a racket.

Still, that does not make me a pacifist, not by a long shot. I do believe there are no moral grounds which can justify resorting to war, and that the ends do not justify the means. However, as mature, rational individuals sometimes immorality is the only responsible course of action.  Simplistic, black and white thinking is the territory of adolescents, where unfortunately far too many adults today seem to be stuck.

Once upon a time in this country there used to be an ‘anti-war’ left. Maybe a few still remember that. Where that led was to a government who simply stopped declaring war. They started calling it ‘spreading democracy’ and ‘fighting terrorism’ and ‘regime change’ instead, and the once resistant left jumped right on board.

https://libertarianinstitute.org/mance/136/

I’d suggest that was because the left had never based their policies on principles, they’d just duped a lot of folks into thinking that was the case. Now the left has become so desperate and diabolical that violence is committed by the very act of speaking, with subtle human behaviors suddenly deemed ‘micro-aggressions’ and popular entertainers de-platformed, and even your local weatherman under an illegal federal gag-order to keep you from the truth about Geoengineering and weather warfare.  https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/government-implements-illegal-gag-order-on-national-weather-service-and-noaa/

https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/file/10_8_15_NWS_gag_complaint.pdf

Pink Tyranny! Backdoor dealings with the public left in the dark.

Everyone is #metoo and #offended to a degree of public outrage fit only for a brothel. Sorry, omg, not to say anything bad about brothels, really, I’m sure they have their place in a civilized society and I don’t judge, really, sorry for my stereotypes and bigotry to any and all sex workers who may be reading this, and of course, any of their clients as well, be they legal or illegal, foreign or domestic. My bad, I take it back, I blame this brand of shameless, insensitive faux pas squarely on my really square grandfather, that is, on my mother’s side, just to be clear. Sorry! He was German, so, there you have it.

Political correctness and the burgeoning movement to outlaw “offensive language” are merely tactics to: preserve groups’ separate identities; foment conflict between them; and ultimately foster their dependence on government authority.”

https://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2018/08/21/the-dependent-victim-psyop/

When confronted with the blatant hypocrisy, or the obvious double-standards and inherent corruption, they continue to perpetuate the charade and they cloak their cognitive dissonance in ready-made slogans provided to them by Empire: Always defer to the Authority, and there is always an Authority.

“I was just following orders.”

“That’s above my pay grade.”

“Let me get my supervisor.”

The State and its allies are real oppressors who contribute mightily to creating real victims; but what I’m talking about here is growing numbers of people who voluntarily take on the victim-mantle and seek comfort in nests of self-promoting groups who exaggerate and distort their own claims to special status.

The State needs these people. The State wants these people. Increasingly, the State employs these people.”

Drought-Rage?! YES!!! Does he know it’s deliberate?

“If the development of civilization has such a far-reaching similarity to the development of the individual and if it employs the same methods, may we not be justified in reaching the diagnosis that, under the influence of cultural urges, some civilizations—or some epochs of civilization—possibly the whole of mankind—have become neurotic?” Sigmund Freud

Again from Jon Rappoport:

“Eventually, if lunatics have their way, every person on planet Earth will be designated a victim. That will be the group of groups.

It won’t matter why and how everyone supposedly turns out to be a victim. The reasons will be forgotten. People will “instinctively” sign on to the agenda.

And the management team running the world will put another check mark on their sheet of objectives:

“Earth is beginning to resemble one giant hospital/mental institution. Break out the champagne.”

There is only one problem. That plan is fraying at the edges. People are waking up and swimming to the surface through layers of deception. They’re returning to themselves. They’re recognizing group-ism for what it is: a meltdown into self-sabotage.

The artifact is the collective. The self is real.”

Weather Warfare

I’ve been surprised lately how few of my friends, family and neighbors know about weather manipulation and its true aims.  A few of them have heard of cloud-seeding, but do not realize that cloud-seeding can create rain and also create drought depending on the amount and type of particulate being used.

What’s further misunderstood is why the military have been developing these technologies heavily since the 50s.  It is not to help agriculture, not to mitigate storms, and not to help people, though they could use the tech that way if they so chose.  The purpose is control.

“It lays the predicate and the foundation for a weather satellite that will permit man to determine the world’s cloud later, and ultimately to control the weather, and he who controls the weather controls the world.” U.S. President Lynden B. Johnson
http://www.texasarchive.org/library/index.php/2010_00003

Controlling the atmosphere also falls into another line of technology called Directed Energy Weapons.  This is not just the stuff of bad fear-porn films!  It is real, it is admitted, and it is happening now.

Notice how excited this lunatic woman is about how much damage can be done!

This information is available in mainstream sources, it’s not fringe and it’s not conspiracy theory.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/weather-control-as-a-cold-war-weapon-1777409/

There are entire organizations and corporations working on these weapons right out in the open and testing them.  Some are even blaming the fires in California and in many places around the world on these weapons.

The Directed Energy Professional Society : http://www.deps.org/

I’ve been following the research of several fantastic men over the years who have dedicated themselves to the anti-geoengineering cause, but unfortunately there’s some contention between some of them. While I find this upsetting, because I don’t want to see the community splinter in this way, after further research I must agree with those who suspect these weapons are being used now, and against our population here in the U.S. and others around the globe.  This is tragic to hear and sorrowful for me to repeat, but repeat it I must.

I ask, no beg, every reader who cares about our environment and our humanity to watch the two videos below, and to spread them around your circles.  We must bring this weaponry into the mass consciousness for the future of us all.

Huge thanks to Jim Lee and aplanetruth.info for the indefatigable and essential research with credible data in order to help us all get the world out.

Please, do your part, get educated and spread awareness.

Collective Utopia vs. Private Idaho

I lost my last hive just a few weeks ago, mysteriously.  They dutifully pollinated the pears before their departure, sweet little creatures they are.  Unfortunately, they didn’t leave a note, or much clue.  I hope they swarmed and found a suitable new happy home, but I believe from what little evidence remained, that this was not the case.

The drama of the bees has been droning on now for decades.  But of course, have no fear, technology comes to the rescue!  First create the problem, then try to fix it while creating 3 new problems–that’s the modern, strategic, scientifically-advanced model at work.

Problem with disappearing bees?  Solution, robot bees!

http://www.businessinsider.com/walmart-robot-bees-farming-patent-2018-3

The next big thing according to TV’s famed Dr. Oz, is the RFID chip.  Keep losing your Alzheimer parent? Get ’em the chip!

Steve Hoffman gushes over the new tech which will allow our minds to merge with one another.  He calls it ‘almost like heaven’—a state of all-inclusiveness with others where our individuality is traded and usurped by the collective, to the extreme degree we can actually feel another’s pain as our own.

But, only if we choose it, of course.  Right.  That’s good, because mark my words, I don’t want to be in his mind, and I certainly don’t want him, or anyone, invading mine at will either.

Will we get to choose?  I’m pretty doubtful on that point.  Right now, do I get to choose whether my region is cloud-seeded, or not?  Nope. https://weathermodificationhistory.com/

Do I get to choose whether Walmart creates robot bees? Nope.

Do I get to choose whether scientists experiment with technology meant to replace nature, meant to manipulate the environment beyond measure, meant to research consciousness with the intention of controlling it, even replacing it? Nope, nope and nope.

Dr. Andreagiovanni Reina, Research Associate in Collective Robotics in the University of Sheffield’s Department of Computer Science, said: “This study is exciting because it suggests that honey bee colonies adhere to the same laws as the brain when making collective decisions.

“The study also supports the view of bee colonies as being similar to complete organisms or better still, superorganisms, composed of a large number of fully developed and autonomous individuals that interact with each other to bring forth a collective response.

“With this view in mind, parallels between bees in a colony and neurons in a brain can be traced, helping us to understand and identify the general mechanisms underlying psychophysics laws, which may ultimately lead to a better understanding of the human brain. Finding similarities between the behavior of honey bee colonies and brain neurons is useful because the behavior of bees selecting a nest is simpler than studying neurons in a brain that makes decisions.”

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-22616-y

Is it for a love of nature and mankind that science and technology seek to study it so thoroughly and in this particular direction?  Or, is it with the intention of replacing nature and mankind for the benefit of god knows whom?

Do they ever ask themselves if we all have the same vision of a collective utopia?

As they preach for the essential Oneness of humanity, the love and light of unity, the exalted state of community, the Kumbaya collusion of the hive, the higher consciousness of the collective, do they consider as well the famed quote by a character in one of Jean Paul Sartre’s most read plays, “L’enfer, c’est les autres.” (“Hell, it’s other people.”)

As they profess their profound compassion and concern, do they care that some of us don’t care to live with robotized nature?  Have they considered putting their intellectual efforts toward saving nature, co-creating with nature, relating equally to it, rather than commanding it, deconstructing it, subjugating it, destroying and replacing it?

Do they tread so shallowly in their own individuality that they cannot conceive of the notion that one’s relationship to oneself and to nature is by far greater, more fundamental and essential, than one’s relationship to any other?

Keep your robots, your synthetics, your hive mind, your Internet of Things, your technological collective Utopia, I don’t want it.

Many of us don’t want it, but we seem to have no choice in the matter.

If I weren’t an optimist, I’d feel we are doomed here on the wee homestead; doomed to watch as we are driven from the heaven of creating our own private Idaho into the hell of another’s version of ‘progress.’

My idea of progress:

Companion planting 3.0 (gardening by aesthetics) — cultivars co-existing with native volunteers (yes, I mean weeds); edibles among poisons; annuals with perennials with crops, seasonal ‘layering’.  More on all that coming soon!

Handy Hubby’s idea of progress:
Spending his entire vacation building!  Color me impressed. 🙂

Getting Real (part 2)

Handy Hubby says my first attempt to burst your bubble was too long and dry to have the desired effect. I agree, bless his heart, so here I try anew.

Again, as in part 1, I quote from The Paradox of Progress, available online to anyone thanks to the efforts of the National Intelligence Council and intended to inform the incoming U.S. President, among others of course.

From page 197:

Global governance of common-pool resources such as public health, water, food and other key resources will inevitably challenge current ideas of privacy, control and power.”

Let’s just consider that one sentence for this post—how’s that for short and sweet, my dear?

bathday
Big ideas in small packages

The entire notion of global governance was considered the territory of conspiracy theorists until quite recently, except by only those few most in-the-know, meaning the powers-that-shouldn’t-be, who’ve had that agenda, and been planning and discussing that agenda, even openly, since WWII, at least.

robbers
“I wonder how much I can steal before they shoot me?”

Now we hear within the next decade the precious moment will have arrived, according to those paid to know and plan such ‘challenges.’

lineup
Old farmer’s adage: Control the food, control the water, control the animal.

Centralized control of the world’s resources, held in the hands of an un-elected yet ‘official’ government to which all nations and people will surrender their current ideas of privacy and power. How does that sound to you?

papipower
Love it, or else.

One ultra-huge government to control all the other governments of the world.

How do you find it now trying to get Washington, DC to act in your interest?

Do you already feel powerless in trying to get those GMOs labeled? Or in getting your voice heard on weather manipulation and climate engineering? Or in understanding how constant wars around the world are an advantage to the average citizen? Or in holding criminals in government accountable?

on duty
“How many times must I repeat myself? The fox is guarding the hen house.”

Or in finally and once in for all putting an end the recurring waves of pedophiles and sex traffickers in powerful positions, or in constant financial corruption, or in the dismal protection of property rights and stewardship of our environment?

birdsofafeather
Birds of a feather flock together!

If you don’t feel powerless against the establishment already, it’s because you haven’t yet tried to go up against it, even in the most remote fashion.

lillambs
That sounds like a big job for a lil’ lamb.

If you do already feel powerless, now imagine that powerlessness exponentially worse as the strings of the control system move permanently away from the vestiges of what’s left of the public’s meddling grasps at authentic law and order, by those precious few still futilely working to replace the current state of perpetual posturing.

notme
“That’s not my trash.” “Me either, I didn’t do it!”

Should you find yourself curious or concerned about the global government being planned for us you may choose to do some online research. If so, and if this is new to you, you will most certainly fall over the first stumbling block very quickly. That is, all the morons screaming, “It’s the Jews!”

jews

To appease for these loudmouths, shills and disinfo agents you might feel tempted to call your favorite Jewish friend or neighbor and assure them you don’t think it’s the Jews. It might make you both feel better about the whole thing in advance.

And then get down to some serious research.

dontfencemein
‘”Don’t fence us in!”

Before you get tempted to point any fingers at all, at any group, for any reason, remember that groups are made up first of individuals.  Maybe that Jewish friend might even like the idea of a world government, some do. That’s fine.

So then let’s get some good, open, very public debates going about it on the national media. Because, we are a free country still, right? We have a functioning, unbiased media informing the public of those things that should most concern us, right?

That is the illusion we are currently and have been being sold for many decades now. Yet here is the National Intelligence Council telling us to expect world government within the next decade while the average American citizen still thinks this is a conspiracy theory thanks to our media.

prisonplanet
“Hey, who put that black wall there?”

When you start your research, you may want look at what’s happening right now, in cities like Santa Rosa and New Orleans. These are considered to be the great models of Disaster Capitalism. All coming soon to a city near you.

Global governance of common-pool resources such as public health, water, food and other key resources will inevitably challenge current ideas of privacy, control and power.”

It is intended to envelop every nook and cranny of the countryside too, with the Internet of Things and the 5G grid. They sell us the benefits and conveniences, but always leave undisclosed the potential and even imminent dangers.

Will you lounge passively as the string-pullers draw up our last vestiges of power and autonomy, sovereignty and local and self-reliance?

happypig1

My personal opinion is Jesus will not save you, or anyone else. But, unfortunately that’s bound to be your next stumbling block.

Of course, the National Intelligence Council could be wrong.

Or, global government could be marvelous.  But, as for us on the wee homestead, on that remote chance we’re just not willing to bet our bacon.

Silent Weapons: A Crazy Conspiracy Theory

Please excuse my long silence, but I have come down with a bad case of the flu, along with a good portion of the U.S. and Europe, according to our mainstream news.  I haven’t been this ill in about a decade.  It includes the usual symptoms: annoying cough, incessant sneezing, miserable congestion.

Some crazy conspiracy theorists speculate this is a ‘chemtrail flu’ and is a form of biological warfare against the population.  I have no way of knowing, but I do know our government has a long history of using biological agents, including by spraying them from planes.

morningspray

Of course folks all over the globe are taking such photos and videos and asking questions, demanding answers, while the mainstream media pretends nothing is happening.  Geoengineering is nothing more than a proposal, the lines in the sky that turn into cobweb haze are just normal water vapor trails from normal aircraft just as they’ve always been, normal, normal, normal.  Oh, except for the snow in the south, that’s the arctic blast bringing crazy low temperatures, and that’s ‘climate change.’  For which we are going to need ‘climate remediation’ which is our rebranded geoengineering.  You see a bit how the smoke and mirrors work?

There are those crazy conspiracy theorists who claim the radio and microwave frequencies currently being deployed to create the 5G network and the Internet of Things are killing us all, at worst, putting us all under mass surveillance, at best.

Crazy?

Are you sure?  Because it sure seems like they’ve been conditioning us for this for a long time now.

According to this sign there are security cameras in use on a dirt road in a large forested area with only a handful of residences and some recreational property.

Who is actually crazy, those discussing such documents as these, or the ones who wrote them?

Despite my efforts, the hawk did not make it.  Whether from natural causes, or man-made, I guess I’ll never know.

Rest in peace my feathered friend.

Spray Day 10.19.17

spraylineIt’s been a while since I’ve posted spray day pics, but have no fear, the geoengineers are still at it.  There are rumors the heavy metal particulates in these man-made ‘clouds’ have intensified the fires in California.  I can only repeat what I hear, I do not know.

But I can look in my own sky and see this.  Spray begins.  Gorgeous blue sky.  Cool and beautiful.

x spray

Spray continues. Skies get ugly, hazy and cobwebby.

chemhaze

By morning there is heavy fog and I have horrendous allergies.

chemhazeovergarden

I have not edited anything in these photos but the size in order to fit here.  The color of the sky, the crispness of the air, not to mention the beautiful clarity are so obvious I’m in shock and awe that folks still call ‘chemtrails’ and geoengineering a conspiracy theory.  Or that they can look at this ugly mess and think anything good could ever come of it.

sundog

The artificial chemical induced ‘sun dog’.  Not so rare these days.

And to make it worse it continues still, I could take a dozen more pics right now as the sky gets further trashed by the hour.  If I breathe too deeply my throat burns and I start sneezing.

chemtrailI am grateful to the activists who have helped me understand at least some of what is happening here with ‘geoengineering’ like Dane Wigington, who continues to insist we all stop calling it ‘chemtrails’.  I’m fine with that, but I wish there was a word that describes what I’m seeing in equally derisive sentiment.  It looks like chemical trails, and it smells like them, too.  The various ‘scientific terms’ sound far too benign: solar radiation management, stratospheric aerosol injection, climate remediation,  ionizing the atmosphere, whatever the hell they are doing and want to call it, whatever, it’s not like I get a vote.

But if I did, I’d call it weather terrorism.

Life Skills Stolen: A Lesson in Hurricanes

About an hour’s drive south over 50 inches of rain has been recorded.  Here, we had two inches, barely enough to moisten the parched topsoil, not enough to create even a small puddle for the ducks to romp through.  The creek remains low, the pond empty.

Of course Houston is no stranger to floods, or Galveston, or anywhere or anyone who has lived along the Gulf South for any short length of time.  While we lived there we were so fortunate as to experience two so-called “100 year hurricanes” in just three years — during Hurricane Katrina we were living in New Orleans, during Hurricane Ike we were living in Galveston.

I refused to live in the Gulf zone, anywhere, after that.  The folks that remain must really love it there, or be more resilient than I am, or have lives and jobs and loved ones they can’t bare to do without.  I respect their preferences and choices, but I chose that we should get the hell out.

Sometimes a woman has to put her foot down.  Or at least, compromise, with pleas and tears.  No my dear, we cannot move back to Spain, Hubby concluded, but we can move north of Hurricane Zone and south of Tornado Alley.

OK, it’s a deal!  I wonder, maybe more women should be making that sort of deal for the good of their sanity and pocketbooks?  I don’t want to give unsolicited advice, but if you choose to remain in the Gulf, it’s only logical and pragmatic and wise in every way that you are emotionally, financially, spiritually capable of living in dangerous regions.

I had long had a respect for self-reliance, having lived in Eastern Europe, where to be Šikovnyý (handy, skillful)  was taken to an art form.  They didn’t take their Skoda to the mechanic, if they couldn’t fix it, a neighbor could.  They cooked from scratch, they mended clothes, they had gardens and grew vegetables in them usually, not grass.  There was scarcely any packaging, the waste–I remember that as most impressionable of all–there was hardly any waste.

Of course that changed fast as soon as the Soviets left and the new Big Brother took over.  This was progress.  Goods filling the shelves, boxes and cans filling the garbage.  It was as fascinating to watch as it was hard to watch.

It’s amazing how fast life skills can be lost.  Or maybe I should say stolen, because that’s what I really think.  The skills that kept cultures thriving and self-reliant and community-driven are being stolen from right under our noses, and our parents’ and grand-parents’ and now even great grand-parents’ noses. For the U.S. at least, this goes way back.

Commodify everything, even the very air we breath and water we need to survive. You are not a good capitalist unless you are willing to drown cities at will in order to profit nicely and have the added benefit of restructuring at will.

See, what ends up happening in these recurrent disasters is those folks who are not self and/or community reliant, are not independent and are most often not the least bit Šikovnyý get in dire circumstances every few years and the government and their communities and extended family and distant friends and loads of complete strangers feel absolutely compelled to help them out.  Usually through agencies and funds that are syphoning and squandering these do-gooders’ money.  There is not only here what Dr. Phil would surely call “enabling” unhealthy lifestyles, but also in some cases, even a dose of pathological altruism.

I saw after Hurricane Katrina that actually what was happening in New Orleans was a land-grab.  I suspect the same and similar is happening with every weather event, and, to go even further, these events, weather and otherwise, are being manufactured.

If you find this preposterous, incredulous, impossible, you need only spend a few hours at these sites to uncover exactly how this is done and has been done for many decades.

Jim Lee’s Weather Modification History

Dane Wigington’s Geoengineering Watch

I know it sounds odd, but those two hurricanes were perfect impetuses for positive change in our lives.  Hubby never wanted to live in New Orleans.  I never wanted to live in Galveston.  We both fancied the idea of having chickens.

And chickens, being the gateway livestock, led to ducks and turkeys, pigs and sheep, goats and . . .

I no longer send money or volunteer, as I had long done, to anyone affected by a disaster through any organization, especially the government.  The weather modification programs, and therefore the weather chaos, is a problem they are creating, which they want the public to bare the brunt of on the front end through taxes and the back through disaster relief.  It’s a con.

Yes, folks suffer.  I get that and I am feeling for them and sending them prayers.  Mostly my prayers are saying, “If you can’t handle living in an area that is repeatedly a disaster zone, do like me, and put your foot down, and get the hell out of the Gulf for good.”

It’s just not worth it. It’s not going to get better.

Homestead Love-Hate

I hate August on the homestead.  There, I’ve admitted it. I can’t stand pretending.  Sitting at the kitchen table looking at the last of about 250 pounds of pears, I could almost cry.

I’d like to sell it all right now and move to Fiji.  I imagine moving permanently into a rented beach hut complete with pool boy serving me colorful fruity cocktails all day.  Not processing pears.  Not plucking dozens of ducks.  Not gaping helplessly at the crops becoming engulfed, scorched, withering to their deaths.

Handy Hubby could even join me there if he wanted to, it’s not his fault after all.  The bugs, the heat, my aching hands, the better part of an entire nation on vacation, as if that weren’t bad enough.

Because then on top of it all is the garden.  Every year, the garden horror show, unrecognizable from a month ago, my annually recurring failure at keeping nature mildly tamed.

augustgarden

In anticipation of my August mood, this year I planted loads of flowers at the garden entrance.  Flowers and puppies are just about all that’s keeping depression at bay.  Some are miserable in the dead of winter; I am miserable in the dead of summer.

cowpeasMowing stopped mid-way for stabbing arthritic pain in my wrists and fingers.  I don’t care anymore.  I can’t care anymore.  There are plenty of cow peas and a few ripe melons in that mess, if you dare.  After weeks at work, this is what Hubby must come home to, and rescue me from, furthering my shameful failure.

okra
Okra successfully outmaneuvering the pernicious grasses, but I don’t like okra.

happypig1The pigs still have their wee escape, and I have mine.

Puppy love.

Puppy pics are way more fun than chemtrail pics.

bathday

I could be taking photos of the regular assault in our skies with the disgusting aerosols of climate engineering, as I was for a number of months.  Another failure it seems, because I can’t bare it, it doesn’t seem to be helping anything at all, except for normalizing abhorrent “science”.

nothingisreal

I simply have no more capacity or patience for folks who don’t, can’t or won’t see, or who don’t care, or who like, the whole-scale rape, murder and pillage of our planet.  When will it stop?  When will the madness heal?  When will a mass of mankind have had enough of bowing to their masters as they crack the whip on the laws of nature?

I’m on vacation alright, just like the bulk of a nation, it’s just a vacation on my window seat, directly under the a/c unit, where I’m grateful to continue my climate engineering research thanks to these more tireless and consistent deeply concerned citizens.
