Why Science is Wrong: A Book Review

Why Science is Wrong . . . About Almost Everything by Alex Tsakiris

Entrepreneur, iconoclast, family man . . . those qualities alone might be enough to win me over.

So I started listening to Alex’s podcast at Skeptiko.com, including many years of past podcasts on the most controversial and fascinating topics largely left behind by mainstream science: near-death experiences, parapsychology, consciousness, and so on; as well as conversations that dare to question some of the oldest assumptions still clinging to modern scientism, in ideas about evolution, race, spirituality and healing/medicine.

I then got hooked on his forum, so it was only natural I buy his book. It also does not disappoint.

Alex’s mantra is not a unique one, it’s one I and many others share: ‘Follow the data, wherever it leads.‘ It has led him, continues to lead him, through some pretty rough terrain.

But in his interviews he comes off as fearless and fresh, in content and sometimes in attitude, as in the way my grandfather used the word with me, as an endearing synonym for wise-guy.  He is known for not shying away from the challenging questions, which is completely contradictory to the ungodly number of weenies and yes-men who overwhelm podcasting cyberspace in my experience.

From the book’s introduction a provocative statement sets the tone and the overarching theme, “Science as we know it is an emperor-with-no-clothes-on proposition. It mesmerizes us with flashy trinkets, while failing at its core mission of leading us toward self-discovery.” He then weaves together pieces of various interviews interspersed with commentary, which makes the book not only a concise and interesting narrative to follow, but a key for further perusing the subjects at hand on his forum.

How could this be?” he challenges early on in the book, “How could otherwise intelligent, competent, seemingly honest people be locked into a mindset that kept them from the kind of open-minded, objective, rational thinking they advocated?” He then proceeds to demonstrate the ‘defend-the-status-quo thinking’ that has become deeply ingrained in the scientific establishment.

Medium communication is one such taboo-type topic covered in the book. Alex surmises three main reasons why most scientists just won’t go there.

  1. They are willfully ignorant of the research that exists;
  2. They never personally investigated the topic themselves; and
  3. They can’t accept any anomalies that challenge their carefully constructed mind-equals-brain paradigm.

But, could science be at a tipping point?  Included in the book are portions of interviews from many leading researchers in what most still consider pseudoscience. Other interviews are with insiders doing cutting-edge research against-the-current, like Dr. Jeffrey Long, a radiation oncologist and near-death experience (NDE) researcher with a best-selling book, Evidence of the Afterlife: The Science of Near-Death Experiences.

The data tells us, says Dr. Long, “. . . what you see in the life changes of near-death experiencers is markedly consistent. In other words, it’s not just that they have life changes; it’s the consistency of those life changes. The substantial majority, if not overwhelming majority, of near-death experiencers believe that there’s an afterlife. They believe that there’s a God. They no longer fear death. They’re less materialistic. They value loving relationships more. The list goes on and on. This has been consistently observed not only in our study but in scores of prior scholarly studies of this phenomenon over 30 years.”

Alex’s interviews often include elements of more subtle and sensitive inquiry, which I find remarkably over-looked by most others–fundamental questions of ethics, the destructive powers of group-think, authentic vs. contrived compassion, leadership, hypocrisy and responsibility–those deeper aspects of a more spiritual nature.

I’d be willing to bet more folks have had experiences of inexplicable, or otherwise anomalous events than have not. These experiences range from things like the placebo effect in healing, paranormal-feeling synchronicities, even prophetic dreams or unusually strong connections with certain people or animals or places. All kinds of folks practice astrology, and Tarot, channeling, meditation, herbal healing, which mainstream science mostly dismisses as quackery.

Science today dismisses anything and everything it cannot directly observe.  So we the non-experts, the general public, are left with gaping black holes in our knowledge, that morphs into mythology and fantasy-based reality, in all the corners where science fears to tread. Few of us really believe we are biological robots in a meaningless universe, yet that is where materialistic science seems to be permanently stuck.

The data eventually led Alex to the place where I found him, conspiracy theories. He had some predictable push back from some of his regular audience and it’s possible his forum has still not completely recovered the losses. To me, that speaks volumes. “Following the data wherever it leads” is not just lip service to him, he sticks to his guns; this is a man of principles.

He even dares to question a southern hot-button topic of the highest order–the theory of evolution–not so much the science aspect behind the theory, but the social engineering aspect of it, the conspiracy angle of it, my preferred angle.

After three interviews, Michael Flannery, Associate Director for Historical Collections at the University of Alabama and expert on Darwin and the theory’s co-discoverer Alfred Russel Wallace; evolution enthusiast Dr. Jerry Coyne of the University of Chicago; and Roy Davies, a former BBC filmmaker and journalist, Alex asks a few more of his compelling questions. “Do we really need to elevate this tiny bit of history to the untouchable status it has among many scientists and committed atheists? Does it really answer our deepest questions about who we are and where we came from? Or is the theory of evolution protected so fiercely because it’s a vehicle for propping up our absurd science-as-we-know-it, mind-equals-brain paradigm.”

To me being just a layman following the data, the answers look self-evident.

Alex concludes with a touching personal observation that parallels my own experiences, which demonstrates why I, and many others, believe conspiracy work is in fact, spiritual work.

The Skeptiko interviews I’ve compiled have changed me. They’ve turned my world upside down more than once. But the knowledge I’ve gained has made me a better husband, father, and friend. I’ve discovered and re-discovered myself again and again and, in the process, I’ve gained a deeper connection with those I love and care about. Knowledge is power, and sharing knowledge, like so many of my guests on Skeptiko have done, is the ultimate gift one person can offer another.”

I have a hard-ball question of my own for Alex, but I’ll save it for a future date.  😉

Spray Day 10.19.17

spraylineIt’s been a while since I’ve posted spray day pics, but have no fear, the geoengineers are still at it.  There are rumors the heavy metal particulates in these man-made ‘clouds’ have intensified the fires in California.  I can only repeat what I hear, I do not know.

But I can look in my own sky and see this.  Spray begins.  Gorgeous blue sky.  Cool and beautiful.

x spray

Spray continues. Skies get ugly, hazy and cobwebby.

chemhaze

By morning there is heavy fog and I have horrendous allergies.

chemhazeovergarden

I have not edited anything in these photos but the size in order to fit here.  The color of the sky, the crispness of the air, not to mention the beautiful clarity are so obvious I’m in shock and awe that folks still call ‘chemtrails’ and geoengineering a conspiracy theory.  Or that they can look at this ugly mess and think anything good could ever come of it.

sundog

The artificial chemical induced ‘sun dog’.  Not so rare these days.

And to make it worse it continues still, I could take a dozen more pics right now as the sky gets further trashed by the hour.  If I breathe too deeply my throat burns and I start sneezing.

chemtrailI am grateful to the activists who have helped me understand at least some of what is happening here with ‘geoengineering’ like Dane Wigington, who continues to insist we all stop calling it ‘chemtrails’.  I’m fine with that, but I wish there was a word that describes what I’m seeing in equally derisive sentiment.  It looks like chemical trails, and it smells like them, too.  The various ‘scientific terms’ sound far too benign: solar radiation management, stratospheric aerosol injection, climate remediation,  ionizing the atmosphere, whatever the hell they are doing and want to call it, whatever, it’s not like I get a vote.

But if I did, I’d call it weather terrorism.

That is I think I disagree.

Married to illusion. What sort of glam-golem are we-they creating?

You get to see the pretty pictures.  But not the shit, literal shoveling shit, that went in to creating them.  A Walt Disney dream.  For every success, a dozen failures you don’t see. I don’t talk about.

This is what I really think, after many months of research into Geoengineering.

We are all now ruled by the cartoonish mentality of the technocracy.  They are trying to force upon us a reality based on illusion.

I want to thank the following folk for their work, which has helped me tremendously to navigate this fool’s path.  This particular journey may be over, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to move on too far.

Spray Day 5.25.17

I was pleased to be able to predict we’d have a spray day on Thursday after seeing the forecast on the local news several days before:  Rising heat, rising wind gusts, little rain chance except for isolated severe storm potential on the weekend.  “Ah,” I said to Hubby, “they will spray Wednesday afternoon or Thursday.”  Inwardly this does give me a bit of comfort, despite how much it annoys me to know we are all guinea pigs to these vampires.  At least I’ll know why I have an ear ache, head ache, joint pain and/or severe allergies.

To what do I owe my newly-found powers of prediction?  Psychic abilities?  Nope!  Thanks to a YouTube channel called 1PacificRedwood.

sunsetspray5.25.jpg

Not normal clouds! Stop pretending or pay attention!

We have an innate reflex defined as disgust.  When we find something repellant, something repulsive and ugly, most likely, thanks to evolution, we can surmise it is not healthy.  I see ridiculous comments and memes trying to push this geoengineering acting as if it’s the better of two evils–it’s severe climate change, or it’s this unsavory alternative to cover the atmosphere in heavy metal micro and nano-particulates.

Where do we get to choose? To opt-out? I’ll take my chances that the SUV drivers of the world won’t ruin the climate if the weather terrorists just stop with their toxic wizardry, thanks anyway.

Part 19: Camouflaged

That’s not God!  That’s men!

Youtube channels about the crazy weather are popping up like weeds in the garden.  Quite a significant percentage of them are full-on fear porn blaming God for the bad weather and looking to Bible verse for answers.  And of course, solutions.  Those solutions, along with those of the New Age movement involve:

Adjusting. Adapting. Aligning. Accommodating. Acquiescing. Assimilating.

Not getting educated, nope.  Not informing oneself outside the advised spiritual texts.  Not observing and collecting data. Not questioning authority.  Not blaming a corrupted system. Not pushing back against the insanity happening in the name of god or science.

Solar radiation management (SRM).  Some say it’s bogus misinformation, a psyop.  Others say, no, it’s absolutely true, they want to block out our SUN!  They are already doing it!  ‘It will slow climate change,’ say the ‘scientists’.

Bad move, whether true or false, unless the true aim is to get folks really riled up.  We tend to like our sun.  Some of us even worship it.

Among the religious and spiritual types, if one is really serious and needs some actual action on behalf of his integrity, he can brandish a placard. Or, become a prepper.  In my experience thus far, only the latter has the potential to be self-empowering.

Otherwise, he can, as I have tried to do here, turn to science.  In our collapsing system there are two kinds of science: real science and biased science.  99.9% of the science the average person is exposed to is biased science.  In now several months of searching through the science of geoengineering and other relatable fields, I have confirmed for myself with 66.6% accuracy that even the real science is still biased.

And yet, a light at the end of the tunnel!  Trudging through the sewers of deception I realize I’ve honed some serious skills of discernment.  A most sensitive frequency now tells me who is making the call, God or Man.  I have come a long way; I longed to stop long ago. But I’ve held tough and the tricksters’ tricks have become more transparent to me, where before they were mostly blinding.

Accelerate, is what that tells me now. Radiate. Expand efforts exponentially.  Absorb the current intensity in the field and diffuse it toward my ends.  It is the final steps of one journey that create the impetus for the next.

What is it?!  A dead bee?  A spec of soil? Nope. I could swear I saw it move!  I showed Hubby, he scoffed and shrugged at first.  I insisted, look, it moved again!  We got out our magnifying glass, then our video, and sure enough, it’s an extremely well-camouflaged inchworm. WOW, now that’s some impressive nature.

Camouflaged warfare becoming blindingly apparent.  How will the public react now?  Best video of the week, not to be missed.

From the chemtrail Summit in Oregon, many more folks tired of the BS and amped up to make changes.

Part 18: Moon Shadow

One wee tug on a thread and the entire cloth begins to unravel. Pandora’s Box also comes to mind.

I’ve been on this trip for a while already, long before I started this fool’s journey to try to get some clarity on the science of geoengineering. What I found initially was more fraud, psy-ops and disinformation than anyone not entirely committed to a cause would ever have the time or motivation to sift through.  Not only that, but to dig in just a little means to become overwhelmed by an entire slurry of misdirection, some calculated, some innocent, I’m sure.  Flat earth theory, many thousands of personal stories on vaccine injuries, 101 theories on chemtrails, secret societies, sex trafficking, pedophilia . . . I don’t recall signing up for all of that.

And the plain truth of it is, I don’t even want to be here.  I want to be working in the garden, or with Hubby and the critters, or watching the birds at the feeder while swinging in the hammock.  The farmish chores are about to get much more consuming with goats, sheep and puppies to arrive before the month’s end.

But I cannot turn away from the geoengineering criticism, and all that seems to come with it, because it’s in my face, all the time.  It would be like turning a deaf ear to a baby screaming at my doorstep.

This “chem-spray” did not come from a plane, or it came from a plane with dissipating contrails and then was afterward steered in this pattern, which you must look quite closely to see, but which was easily visible to the sharp eye.

I don’t want to hear the name of some new cloud some nitwit at NASA has “invented.” I want to know what it IS.  Don’t tell me it’s “normal”, don’t tell me this has always existed I just never noticed it before, and certainly don’t tell me it’s a sign of the end of times.

radioclouds

Air pollution? OK, but from what?  Weather modification, now we are getting warmer. At least we are in the category of the believable.

Once you witness first-hand the chicanery to which so many are capable of and complicit in, it becomes difficult to trust the intentions of anyone outside one’s own inner circle.  This was a story I heard repeatedly while living in the Czech Republic when speaking to anyone from the generations of the Soviet occupation.  In some ways it back-fired, they’d say, because folks inner circles got pretty tight, forming a pretty strong chain across the communities, that were eventually strong enough to lift the veil of corruption and propaganda they were living under.

We were no different then than we are now, this U.S.  We’ve just been better at crafting and keeping the illusory veil firmly in place.

Don’t worry.  Don’t fear.  Once that illusion shatters for you, dance, don’t run.  Follow the moon shadow, reach out, reach in, but reach, just reach, I promise you will find someone there for you.  But just in case you don’t, reach for me.

We have been lied to, not just for decades, since quite possibly the dawn of civilization and before.  And it was so very easy.

Are these just more characters in the eternal charade?  I couldn’t possibly know with certainty.  I can say, I hear a ring of truth.

Part 12: Upside Down World

I’ve asked a number of folks what they think of my ‘gravity-free icicles’ photos from November, when the temperature dropped by 50 degrees in a few hours.

I’ve sent it to strangers with Youtube channels who I thought might be interested in this sort of phenomenon. I’ve had no replies from them. I did hear back from one friend whose simple comment has made the most sense so far. “It’s like the world turned upside-down,” he said.

It certainly is. It’s 85 degrees right now here on the wee homestead, yesterday I got stung by a wasp on the knee in the house. Ouch! Not only are wasps circling in this unseasonable warmth, we’ve been vacuuming up lady bugs by the thousands. I once thought lady bugs were kinda cute, now they are on par in my view with ticks and fleas.

“It’s great! I’m in my summer clothes,” chirps the choir, parroted across social media. Strawberry fields forever! Nothing to get hung about!

Adapt2030 says there’s a Grand Solar Minimum reeking havoc in the world, and it’s going to get much worse over the next years.  A new Ice Age, it seems.  Then there’s the Pole shift to consider. And Planet X, or is it Nibiru? Lots of speculation on all the weather craziness, obviously. And folks love to talk the weather, and I love to talk the weather with folks, until I say, “What are all those lines in the sky?”

Bingo!  I knew it was just a matter of time and determination before I’d find someone who could explain what the hell is going on with the manipulated weather in layman’s terms.  Scalar technology, ELF Waves, creating vortices with lasers, creating updrafts, manipulating storms with microwaves, directing and intensifying hurricanes, yup, it’s all there and it’s all happening and has been for years now.

In this must-see video Dutchsinse explains not only how the technologies work, but also why as well as debunking a few of the skeptics and disinfo agents.

I am one giant leap closer to understanding the photos I’ve been taking from recent weather fronts.  I knew it had to do with something other than cloud-seeding for the simple reason that after heavy spray periods we are still not getting rain.  We have however been overcast, hot and nearly rainless for months, except for the periodic and engineered severe and sudden temperature drops.

On social media a woman expressed her enthusiasm for the great scientists who are creating perfect weather for us all.  Wow!  The ignorance and naiveté apparently knows no bounds.

Science Fraud & Fantasy (part 8)

Is the Hollywood fascination with vampires attempting to condition us?

Scientist studying mice are thrilled as the results appear conclusive—blood transfusions from the young to the old counters the aging process in the brain.

“As human lifespan increases, a greater fraction of the population is suffering from age-related cognitive impairments, making it important to elucidate a means to combat the effects of aging.”

http://www.nature.com/nm/journal/v20/n6/abs/nm.3569.html

At what point in human history did the scales tip toward destruction as an acceptable means to resurrection? Certainly destruction is already a foundational aspect of nature, but why intentionally exacerbate it? Prolonging life has been an obsession of mankind since the dawn of civilization, but is this the fascination of the many, or a privileged few?

And where do these precious few draw the line, if ever they do?

The solutions are invariably more technology to solve the problems created by technology. The weather is not acceptable, let’s fix the weather with toxic pollutants. The human life span is not acceptable, let’s fix that with the blood of our youth. Our food is not sufficient enough, let’s fix that with fake food. Kill the bees with science, build robot bees with technology.  And on and on.

Data is easily manipulated to serve multiple bottom lines. But you don’t need scientific data to bring up an obvious point to anyone who is staunchly pro-technology, and they are not hard to find. Say to him or her: I can see, from photos and my own life experience, that children today are not as healthy as they used to be.

One simple question and you will have them fumbling and finger pointing–not my industry, not GMOs, no. It’s TV. And the TV executives say, how absurd, we are not responsible for children’s sedentary behaviors. It’s the parents. And the parents say it’s the schools’ responsibility, and the schools say it’s the government’s responsibility, and round and round we go.

I say, scientists and technocrats and fervent followers, the children are more unhealthy, what say you?!

The junk food, the GMOs, the pollution, the vaccines, the internet, the failures of the family, the failures of the government, an unhappy God, disease spread by too many immigrants, too much sun, too little sun, who, or what is responsible?

Perhaps, Oh Wise Ones, instead of finger pointing, might you look for examples where this is not the case? What about look at some communities where it is clear the people look healthier, maybe compare their habits with some of our own clearly unhealthy-looking peoples. What do they have in common? What might we learn from their habits, what might we rediscover from the traditions of our own ancestors?

Weston A. Price did just that. His work is becoming more well-known, but the experts are not convinced. Why? Because they don’t like his conclusions, they go against everything the diet dictocrats have been saying for a century.  And, heaven forbid, they have nothing at all to do with technology!

Our ancestors, the indigineous cultures, were healthier thanks to their diets, long before science came into the picture. Science and technology are taking us further from optimum health and longevity, not closer to it, as they seem so intent to achieve.

In the 1930s, a dentist from Ohio travelled the world to study the diets of indigenous peoples who exclusively ate local traditional foods. He compared their glowing good health, excellent bone structure, and mental stability to the Americans of his day, who were suffering from dental problems, mental illness, allergies, arthritis, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, digestive disorders and cancer. What Dr. Price discovered: • Traditional diets contain abundant vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins A, D, and K2, found in seafood and the fat and organ meats of grass-fed animals. • When indigenous people adopted processed and denatured foods such as white flour, sugar, canned foods, vegetable oils, and pasteurized milk, they developed the same chronic diseases that plague us today.”

http://www.westonaprice.org/

What solutions are we implementing, here on the wee homestead?  We started with organic gardens and poultry, then beehives, now we have just added piglets. Sheep and goats are coming soon.  We cook our meals from scratch, slaughter our own meat, bake our own bread, make our own cider, and our own cheese.

Should through our efforts we manage to live long, healthy, productive lives, we will die peacefully when our natural time comes, contented we did not feed on the blood of our progeny.  We may even be blessed enough to benefit future generations by safeguarding some of the skills acquired by our successful ancestors over thousands of years.

Science Fraud & Fantasy (part 7)

“Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater!”  If only I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard this adage.  Certainly that is not my intention and I don’t mean to dismiss all of science or mistrust all the experts.

The challenge I’m having is finding the baby in all that filthy bathwater.  I’m tired of being lied to and preached at by experts.  I realize many of them are well-meaning and some must surely be trustworthy.  But then, if that’s truly the case, why are they not more critical of their professions and those in their professions who are spreading so much arrogance and disinformation?  I left my teaching career because I could no longer tolerate my colleagues who were blindly following any orders from an administration who cared nothing at all about education.  This is what happens when business and politics trump all other endeavors, no matter what the profession or institution.

I made a mistake in my last post, grouping the work of Michael Tsarion with the shell gamers.  Perhaps I was wrong, again.  In fact, my instinct is telling me he might very well be one of the decent ones navigating filthy waters.  I’ll continue to support his work until I’m certain it’s no longer of value to me.

I am beginning to perceive the roots of the issue.  It’s greater than greed in business; it’s deeper than the drug of power; it’s more complicated than the relationship between authority and submission.  I’m not quite ready to formulate it in words yet, but it’s based in illusion and denial, our willingness to accept it and our propensity to create it.  Maybe that’s already obvious to many, but still I need to reason it out for myself.

How could we expect it to be any different?  We raise our children to believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy.  We remove them from the natural world to sit in a room all day and learn about the unnatural world, the socially-constructed world–to memorize what men were their presidents and who won which wars on which days and various sciences full of lies.  What a waste of precious time it is!  Is it any wonder why so few seem to have any respect for nature and reality?!

What irritates me beyond measure is to read and hear lies and half-truths sold by the media to an uninformed and unobservant public about crucial issues that affect us all, like geo-engineering.  To all those who are complicit in this shell game, may the shame of your actions haunt you for your lifetime.  I don’t care what your good intentions are or aren’t, this is psychic torture y’all are perpetrating, along with the rape and pillage of our beautiful lands, seas and airs.

I blame the media, I blame the scientists and technocrats and politicians who are complicit or turning a blind eye, I blame those still not paying attention in the still-complacent public.  And the next time some guru tries to tell me (again) to look in the mirror, meditate, or focus inward– I’m going to respond with a litany of expletives that would make a sailor blush.

Shame on you LIARS at Bloomberg–to pretend geoengineering isn’t already happening on a mass scale!  I see through your reverse-engineering and social conditioning and demonic double-speak.
