Sharing is Caring

A deep bow of gratitude to my essential go-to women who report not what we want to hear, but what we need to hear.

And, a sad song dedicated to them, and us all.

Winter is supposed to be a time of depth, reflection, healing, gratitude, reverence, and patient preparation for spring.  Instead, most modern lives have turned it into everything but that.

The Season of Giving was never meant to mean The Season of Buying.

ONUS—One Nation Under Sorcery

Sorcery—Taking something from nature (the Source) and unduly exploiting it.

Clearly, there’s a problem.  Still.  We call ourselves a free and civilized nation, but why?  There is NO evidence of this.

A free nation is not monitored by the government and its corporate partners.  Its taxes do not go to undisclosed projects and its intelligence isn’t locked high above the tax payer indefinitely.

A civilized nation does not have as top priority a routine political impeachment theater when sex trafficking and pedophilia are rampant among the elite establishment knowingly for generations without recourse.  They are not experimented on mercilessly and continuously by ‘their betters’ with poisons of the mind, body and spirit.

This is SO disgusting and vile!  How is it there is not more outrage?!

Subversion.  Sorcery.  Brainwashing.  An inability to see what’s right in front of you because you’ve been trained since birth not to see it.  We have been at war with the ruling oligarchs FOREVER, but we don’t see it, because those good at war know camouflage of all varieties.

They are indirect and adaptive, as this researcher has outlined in his thesis.

HYBRID WARS:

THE INDIRECT ADAPTIVE APPROACH TO REGIME CHANGE
Moscow
Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia 2015

The object of research is US grand strategy and the new patterned approach to regime change is the subject. The book restricts itself towards only analyzing the Color Revolution and Unconventional Warfare aspects of the Adaptive Approach, believing them to be a new theory of warfare in and of themselves. The fusion of these two can stand alone from the third step of military interference, and it will be argued that this hybrid may be more preferable than expanding the destabilization operation to Humanitarian Intervention/Responsibility to Protect. The structural events in Syria and Ukraine serve as the case studies for testing this new theory, and it will be taken for a given that the reader has some level of pre-existing knowledge about these situations. The book aims to elaborate upon and analyze the evolving US regime change template and method of warfare first described at the Moscow Conference on International Security 2014, as well as showing that the combination of Color Revolutions and Unconventional Warfare represents a new theory of state destabilization that is ready for strategic deployment all across the world.

This is Globalism, America!  “WE” are not to be spared by some miracle of birth from this grand world domination agenda.

Everyone in the world sees it but us!  This is not just about ‘waking up’, it’s about recognizing we will not have even a semblance of a country left in a decade if folks don’t act in monumental effort immediately.  We are 100 years overdue, at least!

Look at the distractions they are able to mesmerize us with, seriously, take a really good look over this ‘holy-day’ season at what we’ve become.

If this young courageous woman can do it, you can too.

The onus is ON US.

What are YOU, personally, going to do about it?  Make it your New Year resolution, PLEASE!  I’m not too proud to beg.  We NEED y’all to see the culture is going down, right now, you’ve got to break the spell!

It won’t take that much.  Just look.  Just read. Just talk to others. Just make some preparations for you and your family and neighborhood.  If that’s all you can do, just do that.

If you can do more, just imagine what we could make this country be, if the sorcerers weren’t running the show!

If you can do even more, ACT, as an individual, in the way that most matters to your deepest self.  Figure out WHO that hero in you is, and embody it.

Or, at least, that’s what I’ll be doing.  Would be lovely to have more company.

Science’s G.O.D=Magnetoreception?

Another post pondering and speculating on the Great Organizing Dynamic, and where science stands on the issue.

I realize I’m once again in way over my head, because even if I could understand all the formulas and lingos in these studies and articles, most of them I can’t obtain anyway without being part of an affiliated university or think tank or by paying hundreds of dollars each to subscribe to the various journals of officialdom.

I see I’m not alone in complaining about this fact and that many scientists agree and go for more ‘open source’ publishing options.

I see also I’m among a big crowd complaining about the lack of ethics in science publishing and research methodology.  There’s plenty of evidence of the lack of replication ability, questionable research parameters favoring certain outcomes, not to mention the ridiculous mainstream garbage that makes it down the pipeline to the general public.

Here’s a dirty little science secret: If you measure a large number of things about a small number of people, you are almost guaranteed to get a ‘statistically significant’ result. Our study included 18 different measurements—weight, cholesterol, sodium, blood protein levels, sleep quality, well-being, etc.—from 15 people. (One subject was dropped.) That study design is a recipe for false positives.”

Corbett Report: The Crisis of Science

What I noticed in the short abstracts and few articles I was able to read freely, was a lot of assuming, and not enough abstract observing.  Like in the following example:

First, the bees’ distance errors are similar in magnitude to their directional errors, and their angular errors decrease greatly with increasing distance to the target (decreasing more than fourfold between 100 and 700 m). As a result, the absolute scatter of recruits remains relatively constant with changing distance to the target (increasing by less than 50% between 100 and 700 m). This is to be expected if the optimal level of imprecision is the same for distance and direction and does not change with the distance of the target from the nest. Second, comparative studies involving three tropical- and one temperate-zone species (allApis)suggest that the precision of the bees’ languages may have been tuned in accordance with the spatial characteristics of the resources each species uses. We suggest that both the round dance, which conveys no directional information for nearby targets, and the high angular divergence in waggle dances indicating targets within several hundred meters of the colony are both understandable in this context.

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/BF01052234

“Distance errors,” “Directional errors,” “Imprecision”??  How would scientists have any clue at all whether the bee lines were in error when they know, admittedly, so very little about a bee colony’s social behavior?

In the following study, the parameters are so narrow and there are so many underlying assumptions it doesn’t seem to have much relevance to the layperson or even to industry, so I’m naturally curious, who funded the study and for what aims?

Honeybees have been trained to respond to very small changes in geomagnetic field intensity.

What about magnetoreception?  Their eyes and even their instruments can’t measure half of what’s going on in the bee brain, I’d be willing to bet the farm.

Wikipedia flat out lies that research on magnetoreception in humans is a brand new thing, as of this year, when in fact there was a groundbreaking book on the topic published in the mid-80s!

Wiki: “Humans are not thought to have a magnetic sense, but there is a protein (a cryptochrome) in the eye which could serve this function.[2] In 2019, a group of researchers have arguably provided the first concrete neuroscientific evidence that humans do have a geomagnetic sense.[3]”

Testing Human Subjects

Brains Register Magnetic Shifts, Subconsciously

“Our participants were all unaware of the magnetic field shifts and their brain responses. They felt that nothing had happened during the whole experiment – they’d just sat alone in dark silence for an hour. Underneath, though, their brains revealed a wide range of differences. Some brains showed almost no reaction, while other brains had alpha waves that shrank to half their normal size after a magnetic field shift.”

What might activate these sensors in humans? Here’s an interesting study Wiki seemed to miss, among others.

“The Earth’s geomagnetic field (GMF) is known to influence magnetoreceptive creatures, from bacteria to mammals as a sensory cue or a physiological modulator, despite it is largely thought that humans cannot sense the GMF. Here, we show that humans sense the GMF to orient their direction toward food in a self-rotatory chair experiment. Starved men, but not women, significantly oriented toward the ambient/modulated magnetic north or east, directions which had been previously food-associated, without any other helpful cues, including sight and sound. The orientation was reproduced under blue light but was abolished under a blindfold or a longer wavelength light (> 500 nm), indicating that blue light is necessary for magnetic orientation. Importantly, inversion of the vertical component of the GMF resulted in orientation toward the magnetic south and blood glucose levels resulting from food appeared to act as a motivator for sensing a magnetic field direction. The results demonstrate that male humans sense GMF in a blue light-dependent manner and suggest that the geomagnetic orientations are mediated by an inclination compass.

Blood glucose activates sensing magnetic direction

Finally, we investigated the mechanism by which different magnetic orientations was manifested among starved men, unstarved men, and women irrespective of starvation. An analysis of raw data (Fig 2A, 2C and 2D, Fig A in S2 Fig) demonstrated that magnetic north orientation was remarkable only in the food association sessions in starved men (Fig 4A, top, middle), in consistent with the result (Fig 2D)”

What might this line of study reveal about ‘debunked’ ancient sciences like gardening by moon phase, dowsing, astrology, lay lines, and so on?

Workin’ the Waggle

Continuing from my new line of questioning on this blog, Science’s G.O.D. (https://kenshohomestead.org/2019/11/29/sciences-g-o-d/), or the Great Organizing Dynamic, here’s some more speculation.  Please volunteer any thoughts, facts, references, opinions—I’m really searching for direction and substance in this series of posts.

A bit of bee background:

The way honeybees communicate has been historically termed ‘the waggle dance’.  There are at least 9 different dances that have been observed and recorded. (v. FRISCH, 1965)

1) The round-dance is a call to search for food in all directions within a radius of 25 m.
2) The waggle-dance describes the direction of the destination in terms of the respective position of the sun and defines the distance.
3) The Rumpel-dance describes a conspicuous type of movement made by suc- cessfully returning foragers. They hastily make their way across the honey- comb, bumping into colony members and informing them that something is going on, e.g., that food is available.
4) The Ruck-dance is carried out by foragers that are emptying their honey sacs and involves intermittent, directed tail wagging. It serves more to indicate a general dancing mood than to impart any specific message.
5) The sickel-dance has been observed in every bee species (with one exception) in the transition between the round-dance and the waggle dance (figure-eight). The opening of the „sickel“ in the dance pattern denotes the direction to the feeding site.
6) The buzzing run is the sign to disperse. Scouts barge through the interlocked bees in the swarm in an undirected, zigzag course and audibly buzz their wings.
7) In the Putzlauf the bee shakes its body from one side to the other.
8) In the vibration-dance, one bee takes up contact with another, whereby it rapidly vibrates its abdomen. The meaning of this dance has not yet been deciphered, although their is strong evidence that it involves a communication form combining dance and acoustic signals.
9) Finally, the Zitter-dance is an expression of neurotic behavior and is disregarded by the surrounding bees. Research has shown it to be a result of a traumatic experience such as severe impact, poisoning, injury to appendages, or extreme state of alarm.

What researchers draw in copying these dance moves has been described as a ‘squished figure 8’.  More current research focuses on not only what can be observed visually, but precisely how their communication works acoustically.

The first time I saw the figure of this ‘squished figure 8’ drawn by my beginning beekeeping teacher, I recognized it, and being the diligent student I sometimes can be, I raised my hand and questioned, “You just drew a torus, the bees must be communicating through a toroidal field?  No one had any idea what I was talking about.

AFA5727D-9198-4FC3-A8C2-9C8957BA1FE6

But I’ve got a strong sense that those who study UFOs know exactly what I’m talking about.

http://www.zamandayolculuk.com/html-2/ufogravitymanipulation.htm

“The craft was able to displace gravity through the propagation of magnetic waves controlled by shifting the magnetic poles around the craft so as to control, or vector, not a propulsion system but the repulsion force of like charges.[p100]

raced among themselves to figure out how the craft could retain its electric capacity[p100]

The air force discovered that the entire vehicle functioned[101] just like a giant capacitor. In other words, the craft itself stored the energy necessary to propagate the magnetic wave that elevated it, allowed it to achieve escape velocity from the earth’s gravity, and enabled it to achieve speeds of over seven thousand miles per hour.” [p101]

3961A747-A70D-41C4-997B-23F13154BBF9

I’m not a scientist by any stretch, I’ve never been good at science, or math, or any technological field.  I could be completely wrong in trying to make this connection.

But, I do think I’m right in assuming there are some far more intelligent minds out there who have also considered this connection. And I’d really like to find them.

The results indicate that the wagging run is the “master component” of the dance. The figure-of-eight dance path does not seem to convey information. Both sound and wagging must be present in the dance, but no specific roles were found for these components. Both sound and wagging convey information about distance and direction, and they appear to be largely redundant.”  https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/BF00166696

Redundant?  Kinda like the bee version of ‘junk DNA’ the scientist have tried to sell us? Come on now.

It is also not known how the dance followers detect the dancer’s movements in the darkness of the hive where visual cues can not be used.”

The popular wisdom has been the bees communicate their navigation paths using the sun, but I’ve seen bees out foraging on overcast days and even in light rain.

Which makes me wonder, could the bees be demonstrating Ampere’s Law?

The magnetic field in space around an electric current is proportional to the electric current which serves as its source, just as the electric field in space is proportional to the chargewhich serves as its source. Ampere’s Law states that for any closed loop path, the sum of the length elements times the magnetic field in the direction of the length element is equal to the permeabilitytimes the electric current enclosed in the loop.

Furthermore, do you think all this research is being done for the love of bees?  That’s what many bee-lovers believe, I’m sure.

Naïve folks think it’s all about making life easier, and more enjoyable for everyone, and learning all about the bees, just because they are fascinating creatures and honey is delicious and we all love nature.

Sorry to try to burst that bubble once again, but the global military industrial complex doesn’t give a crap about your comfort, or the bees. They want better weapons.

Acoustic weapons are all the rage.  Simple high-intensity sound causes the inner ear to generate nerve impulses that register as sound. Since the inner ear also regulates spatial orientation, saturation of the inner ear by high-intensity sound may cause spatial disorientation. For example, loud music was used by American forces to drive Manual Norriega from the Vatican Embassy in Panama in 1990. High-intensity low-frequency sound may cause other organs to resonate, causing a number of physiological results, possibly including death. Acoustic weapons pose the hazard of being indiscriminate weapons, potentially imposing the same damage on friendly forces and noncombatants as on enemy combatants or other targets.” GlobalSecurity.org

Free Tea!

I had a bunch of ladies over from our community stitching group and offered them a taste of our homemade wine and foraged tea.  The wine was hit and miss, most of the ladies being teetotalers.  The tea though was a big hit.  Much to my surprise, while most of them were country-raised, none of them had ever heard of making tea from two of the most common sources imaginable: pine needles and yaupon.

5 Incredible Benefits of Pine | Organic Facts

The most interesting health benefits of pine include its ability to boost the immune system, improve vision health, stimulate circulation, protect against pathogens, and improve respiratory health.”

The yaupon surprised them even more than the pine, because around here it’s so prolific they are treated like annoying weeds much of the time.  (Maybe that’s because they don’t realize how much the bees love them in their early spring bloom period.).

In some areas you’ll need to be sure not to confuse yaupon with Japanese privet, which is a popular landscaping shrub, but poisonous.

Benefits of Yaupon Tea

Yaupon tea is a tea made from the dried leaves of the yaupon holly tree, which is scientifically known as Ilex vomitoria. This type of holly tree is native to the southeastern region of North America and was once used as an emetic and a ceremonial tea for numerous Native American tribes. The tea is also closely related to yerba mate tea and has many of the same active ingredients and nutrients.

I also make tea with sassafras, mullein, rose hips, elderberries, sumac, and lots of other foraged goodies. Healthy and delicious, especially after you add the local honey, of course.

Foraging Texas has a great list with lots of common plants not just in Texas.

Science’s G.O.D.

“Order already existed,”  I claimed in my last post.  Let’s talk about that.

Before science and religion came along there were highly organized human civilizations, not to mention the non-human ones, that somehow managed to thrive without these disciplines.  Ancient wisdom fascinates me, how modern science and religion exploits it at our ‘collective’ expense fascinates me even more.

Part 1 G.O.D. = Great Organizing Dynamic

An introduction of terminology:  Metaheuristics, Embodied Spacial Cognition, Toroidal Field, Tesselar Spherical Harmonics, Stellarator Optimization, Radiofrequency Plasma, Tokamak Discharge/Sawtooth Oscillation, Quorum Sensing, Vector Memory, Path Integration (PI), Stigmergy

Part 2 = As Applies to Sociopolitical One World Acceleration Process

Underlying Assumption: Crisis Drives Evolution (potential origination of worldview: Cult of Mithras, exploration continues.)

“Living nature is a global community of communication, humans could view themselves as members among many other (non-human) members in this community. Universal-communicative, normative rules can also be derived from such a membership. Their non-observance has led us into a historically unprecedented ecological crisis. In light of this ecological crisis, future adherence to these rules will probably become the greatest cultural and evolutionary challenge that mankind has ever faced. Should we be unable to master the ecological crisis in time by adequately complying with these rules, then our survival is as uncertain as that of most other biological species threatened by mankind ́s activities.

Viewed from this perspective, this book provides support for an ecologically oriented ethics. It does not represent ethics in itself; rather, by opening the way to a new perception of living nature, it wishes to provide the information we need to introduce and establish norms of ecological ethics.”

“The evidence that the sign-mediated interactions of honeybees from warmer latitudes differ fundamentally from those of the northern hemisphere leads to a discussion about how certain capabilities and skills on the molecular level are genetically fixed, in the nuclei of the cells of organisms, culminating in the paradigmatic realm of intra-organismic communication.”

https://zone.biblio.laurentian.ca/handle/10219/2267

“This series of studies investigated the effects of applied, low-intensity electromagnetic fields on the behaviour of several species. To cover a range of species; the eusocial harvester ants (Pogonomyrmex sp.), solitary orb-weaving spiders, and aquatic planarian (Dugesia tigrina) were examined for behavioural consequences associated with applied electromagnetic fields. An additional component examined these effects on various volumes of water. In all species examined, significant behavioural consequences were observed. Intensities of the used fields ranged from nanotesla to millitesla, and their patterns included a fixed-pattern 60 Hz field, and a more complex-patterned field. A separate component also analyzed the effects of light and polarity, where additional effects were evident. For the experiments with the harvester ants, significant changes in tunneling behavior were observed; for the spiders, significant changes in the structure of the web were observed; for the planarian, significant effects on t-maze arm selection occurred; and for water, significant changes in pH were detected.”

Transcendence is Escapism

Life is significantly easier when you don’t give a shit.  Not only are you spared the physical, intellectual and emotional effort of caring, you are also spared the spiritual effort of sifting through the good and shitty people and things in your life.

When you don’t care, you don’t care if others don’t care either.  You don’t build up any resentment to their lack of care.  You get to feel comfortably numb in blissful ignorance.  You don’t have the added social cost of having to mask your disdain and disapproval.  You can chuckle, rather than wince, at their callousness and cruelty and disregard.

The spiritual effort of discernment is so taxing that many religions have successfully spared their followers of it, naming it ‘Judgement’ and leaving the dreadful task to God, or similar distant entities.

Discernment is in fact so precious it’s innate in all sorts of species, not just mankind.

CA3018BA-6BC4-491F-8248-549724FCCA10

Sunflowers discern which way the sun is glowing and turn themselves to face it.  Plants can actually discern and communicate all kinds of things about their environment, even things like where their trellis is, and other survival instincts—this is absolutely true, and now that science ‘proves it’ you are allowed to believe it, even though those in tune with the natural world already sensed it aeons ago.

Birds of a feather do indeed flock together, even domesticated ones all raised together tend to stick with their own kind most of the time.

Human babies are so highly discerning they recognize their own kind from the most tender age, reaching out automatically to other babies, or puppies, or other young or small things, as if they are already quite conscious of their current place in the universe.

What are the emotions which humans make such concerted efforts toward escaping or transcending?  Sadness, weakness, loneliness, illness, vulnerability, anxiety, fear, pain, discomfort, failure.

But rarely, apathy.  Apathy, as dangerous as it can be, is of another category.

Apathetic populations serve an important purpose in civilization.  Not only are they the perfect minions of any corrupt power structure by never questioning their surroundings or roles, but they also serve brilliantly in undermining the efforts of the relatively few who do actually give a shit.

Apathetic slaves are the best sort.  The less you care about those around you and your environment, the easier the masters have it.  It makes for better order followers, because you’re still smart enough to never bite the hand that feeds you, but passive enough to go along with anything told to you from above.  Hand over your children?  Ok, what can you do, and besides, you can just have more.

The culture-shapers have been breeding apathetic populations as long as man has been breeding domesticated livestock.  Obedience, docility, positivity, faith, industriousness are in the category along with apathy, as with all the other desired traits that make the livestock more manageable, desensitized, acquiescent and profitable.

The “Namaste Billionaires” (a phrase I’ve borrowed) say they give a shit, and they want to fix it all.  They know how, because they say so.  They’ve transcended, and they’re billionaires, so of course they know how. They’ve reached the pinnacle of materialism and spiritual ascendency in tandem and they’re going to create order from the chaos.

These are the latest brand of culture-shaping snake oil salesmen and if their predecessors had not been breeding in apathy for centuries the populations would still have the discernment to see this as clearly as if it were pulsing in neon from the heavens.

How can you tell, as easily as if you were discerning white from black?  Look to nature.  Order already existed.  It still exists even now, though the perpetual tinkering makes it less and less obvious every year.

BE02C354-0232-40C1-A69B-461E77179833

These false prophets create the chaos in order to save you from it, so that you then confirm your role as indentured servant to their system.

So, don’t give a shit just a little bit longer.  This Thanksgiving, show the proper gratitude to your betters for the relatively comfortable free-range servitude they’ve granted you.  Raise your children right—to jump when the master calls— ‘front and center!’ To bow when your master gestures, to serve courageously at his side when required, and cower silently in the corner when ordered.

Drugs and distractions, or enlightenment, take your pick.  If you’re truly blessed you might even be able to kiss their feet someday.  Dare to dream!

Still, if you don’t make it quite that far on the righteous path, as your just rewards you’ll still get all the baubles and accolades worthy of your slave station and gain the admiration of all your enslaved peers.  Congratulations and . . .

Long live the Queen!

Education’s Agenda Pushers

The Machiavellian tactic of working both sides against the middle, coupled with the old Chinese adage ‘if you want to defeat your enemy, raise their children’ are at work in lock-step today on the global stage like a well-groomed chorus line.

Hundreds of thousands of average individuals around the world, like me, like those I link every week, like Terry in Ireland, who are around the world trying to push back against these obvious agendas, like the Climate Change hoax, but these technocrats have the whole wide world in their hands.

The new normal, from Terry’s site.

Terry: “This website is intended to bring public awareness to the ongoing and decades in development global climate engineering operations which have long since rendered natural weather a thing of the distant past. Every day around the world there are dozens of companies conducting hundreds of weather modification programs and altering global weather patterns, yet the vast majority of the general public have no idea such Godlike capabilities even exist. Methods being used range from conventional cloud seeding to advanced EMF and Laser cloud creation technologies. This is the commercial side of climate engineering, there is then the clandestine side of global operations.” Climate change agenda.com

The scoundrels display themselves and their nefarious generations-long plots right out in the light of day for anyone to see, that’s how confident they are that no one will, or can, stop them now.  Not just mass weather warfare, open eugenics, GMO babies, mass surveillance, mandatory vaccines (which is a precursor to sanctioned genocide), accepted fake science deployed to advance political agendas (by Jon Rappoport).

And the public thirst for lies proves unquenchable!  Get them young and dumb, throw in some fake outrage at adolescence, keep them pumping on the hamster wheel of earning and spending for decades,  distract them continuously with sports and entertainment and political theatre, then a couple bankruptcy-worthy illnesses and/or weather catastrophes, and voilà, fail-proof road to world domination.

Wouldn’t you know it, my alma-mater is a driving force in the technocratic delusion. That’s just embarrassing.

Michael Crow is a consummate Technocrat who has created a new kind of educational experience at ASU, one that is measured by its social impact rather than traditional statistics like awards or intellectual rigor.”

Is there any remedy at this late stage of sociopolitical cancer?  I can’t say, but it seems if so, individual empowerment and action is where we’ve got lots of room for improvement.

“The ruling class fully understands that the only way to control people, and to finally control the world, is to stifle individual excellence by creating a society that refuses to think. This has been accomplished through planned conflict, the instilling of fear, the total control of education by the puppet state, by building dependence through public welfare, and by dominating most all positions of power in a myriad of state, corporate, and important intellectual appointments.”

Just, Fiction.

I met this Persian man at the laundromat.  The first thing I thought was, “Persia is still a country?”  Obviously I didn’t say that out loud, it became a mental note to self: “Google Persia.”

Instead I replied, “Oh, nice, what brings you to (redacted)?  Big smile.  I’m really good at that.  Loads of training.  I use to have nicer teeth, but I refuse to bleach them now.  Have you read that ingredients list?  Yes, they work, I know.  But I’d rather just stop smiling so damn much.

2nd note to self: “Journal, what the hell is there to be smiling about so much anyway?” Next thought: “I hope I get to talk to him about chemtrails.”

We got to chatting, of course, I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, even cranky men on the airplane who just want to nap.

Something I said set him off on a tangent, that’s usually how it works.

I can’t be certain what it was exactly, I think it was “spontaneous.”  I was telling him how I’d just come back from two conferences in Dallas (I did not tell him of what kind) and my entire purpose at both was to be spontaneous. I had set that intention.

And off he went.

He talked through my entire wash cycle about “Persia,” but mostly about his wife.  She hates America, refuses to come when he visits.  He didn’t mention why he visits.

I nodded and smiled and eventually rolled my clean wet clothes to the dryers.  I was distracted by the thought of it feeling odd throwing mine and Hubby’s skivvies in the dryer while he watched and chatted away.

Then a question blurted out, I could tell from the rise in tone, and I had to redirect my attention quickly in order to catch only: “. . . daughter’s roof replaced?”

“You mean the ‘tornado’?”  I made sure to use physical air quotes in the form of my two fingers motioning most emphatically when I said that, I always do.  You never know when just that gesture might plant a seed in just the right season with just the right person.

“Yes I do!”

When I turned to face him he had a big smile which made me grimace.  I made the full “oh my God, don’t get me started” face, in slow motion, to make sure he caught it.

And then I went on my tirade.  About all the downed trees, upturned from the roots, just like that, hardwoods too, plenty of ‘em.  And how I was there, alone, and woke up to a disaster zone like something out of a Hollywood movie, with trees and debris strewn across everywhere, inches from every window, an overturned beehive, fences down that just went up, and on and on I went, through the entire dryer cycle. I never even got started on the damned weather modification.

I was folding before I finally took a breath and said, “Oh, sorry, how I do go on!”  Sheepish smile, shrug, “Thanks for listening!”  🙂

He looked at me very seriously and said: “Well, it has been my pleasure, dear, I feel quite enlightened by you!”

“You do?”

“Why yes, I do!  Here it is.  The gods just noticed you, and let you live!  Relatively unscathed!  You, and my daughter, are among the most blessed women alive!  And what do you do with such blessings from gods, you complain to every stranger who listens for six whole months?  Right?! You do this, too, right?!”

And then he smiled, so I smiled.  And he started to laugh, so I started to laugh, and he continued.

“Thank you!  Now I see why my wife won’t come with me to visit in America!”
